San is a young man with an intellectual disability. He is socially integrated thanks to María, his mother, a teacher who has devoted her time to ensuring that San can live a life like everyone else. When María is diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given only a few months to live, she sets out to plan her son’s future without her. And it is Luisa, her daughter and San’s older sister, who must take over as his caregiver. With María’s death, San’s life is thrown into disarray, and with it comes a new chapter in which nothing is as María had imagined.
