Matilde Cisneros is an elderly woman who lives with her three daughters in a small village in the Andalusian countryside in the early 1970s. After her death, her daughters set out to prepare her wake, even though the entire village has turned its back on them. During the ceremony, an unexpected older brother appears—one who left the village 15 years ago, leaving behind many unresolved conflicts with the neighbors and his own family.
