Let me introduce you to Frondoso, a character full of love, courage, and dignity whom I’ve had the privilege of bringing to life in #Fuenteovejuna. It’s been an unforgettable journey—one of those projects that stays with you and that I’ll never forget. I’m deeply moved and grateful, and of course, this wouldn’t have been possible without the wonderful team and professionals I’ve been lucky enough to work with—each and every one of them. That's how we ended Saturday... A packed theater, with everyone on their feet...

That’s how we ended Saturday… A packed theater with the audience on their feet… and we were so grateful. We premiered “Max’s Concave Dream” at the Carthima Theater in Cártama, and it was magical—not just because of the play, which is wonderful in its own right, but because of my fellow actors, the crew, the production, and the audience. I’d been hoarse all week, to the point where I could barely speak; I had almost no voice left, but I had so much excitement and hope for this day. At 8:00 a.m., I was at a clinic explaining that I had to speak at 7:00 p.m.—and speak well, at that—because I had to recite some verses by my beloved Valle-Inclán. They proceeded with immediate treatment, and it worked. Thank you. My fellow actors and the director needed to know, but the audience didn’t—and they have no reason to. They’ve paid for a ticket and want to see something worthwhile and of high quality. Excuses are no good. We owe it to the audience and are at their service. That’s what it’s all about—making sure the audience doesn’t notice anything out of the ordinary. It’s none of their business. I’m an actor for and because of the theater, and I’m happy on stage, even if sometimes it requires an almost superhuman effort. Thank you, and long live the theater! ♥️
